Bring on the Pollinators Garden Event

It's World Pollinator Week, so join us for our "Bring on the Pollinators" Garden Event to celebrate and support pollinator health! This event will feature a live demonstration and educational overview of butterflies and their positive impact on the garden, as well as garden and art activities.
Pollinators are both important and fascinating. Butterflies and other pollinators affect our lives every day in ways we might not realize. They are responsible for approximately one-third of the food and beverages we consume and contribute to the production of our clothing. They help define our seasons: from the flowering meadows of spring to the summer berries, the pumpkins we carve for Halloween, and the food we enjoy at Thanksgiving. Essentially, pollinators are the unsung heroes behind many of the joys in life.
As we gather among friends, we will also unite in a collective effort to protect and preserve these crucial pollinators by learning four vital steps that everyone can take to conserve them: growing pollinator-friendly flowers, providing nest sites, avoiding pesticides, and spreading the word.
Martina will guide us through an educational demonstration of butterflies. We will plant pollinator-friendly flowers and create a pollinator hotel to invite these essential creatures to enhance the health of our ecosystems at home!
